TLV stands for threshold limit value
The term for standards set by the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists in 1968. A term used by ACGIH to express the airborne concentration of a material to which nearly all workers can be exposed day after day without adverse effects. "Workers" means health individuals. Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL)

Definition:
The highest (maximum) level of a contaminant allowed to go uncorrected by a public water system under federal or state regulations. Depending on the contaminant, allowable levels might be calculated as an average over time, or might be based on individual test results.

Activated sludge

Definition:
An aerobic biological process for conversion of soluble organic matter to solid biomass, removable by gravity or filtration.

Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)

Definition:
The CPSC, a federal commission, protects the public from injury caused by consumer products. The CPSC evaluates products, investigates the causes of product-related injuries and issues and enforces safety standards
